Vineyard Intelligence — AI Decision Support for South African Wine Estates

I didn't build Vineyard Intelligence from a boardroom. It started on my family's micro farm — where I learned first-hand how many moving parts go into every decision, and how powerful a system built around your farm's own context could be.

Working alongside farm managers, I saw the same pattern everywhere: brilliant people drowning in unprocessed data and facing an overwhelming number of decisions every day. The information existed — scattered across weather services, soil reports, phenology charts — but nobody had time to synthesise it at 5am when the spray window was closing.

The need for a system that analyses the right data and surfaces clear, actionable answers became impossible to ignore. So I built it — one that does the heavy lifting, the cross-referencing, the risk modelling, the compliance paperwork — and delivers it where you already are: WhatsApp.

I didn't grow up on a vineyard, but I've always been fascinated by the entire cycle — from bud break to bottle. Growing up enjoying wine with my mother, blended with a deep respect for the farming lifestyle, it all came together. Vineyard Intelligence was born from that intersection of curiosity and purpose.
